Everett Madison House, at the corner of Evergreen and Madison, has been a landmark in Everett for many years providing a home to people living with severe & persistent mental illnesses. As of October 2004, Everett Madison House assumed a new role in the community by providing a recovery-focused outpatient clinic for individuals to come for case management services, psychiatric appointments, psycho-educational groups, breakfast, and lunch. We offer a place for people to come and be accepted as they are, without stigma. Everett Madison House is THE CONNECTION back to the community.

In 2005 Everett Madison House was truly fortunate to receive grants from Evertrust and the Boeing Employees Community Fund to make much needed improvements. We have a bright cheerful Drop-In Center area on the first floor which includes a new ADA compliant restroom, full kitchen, computer center, group activities area, and laundry room.

On the second floor there is now an inviting comfortable lobby with plenty of seating to visit or just relax before an appointment. This area also includes two rooms for private sessions with our psychiatrist or for psycho-educational groups. We also have a locked medication room with a waiting area and space for our ARNP to see members each week.

On the third floor we have a newly renovated area with three designated ACTIVITY units:

  • MUSIC ROOM where members can take a piano or guitar class by way of a "peer monitored group" run solely by members.
  • RELAXATION ROOM where members can have a place for solitude, read a book, or listen to music.
  • MEDIA ROOM is set up with a wide array of VHS & DVD videos. There is diverse range of recovery-based mental health videos ranging from Carrie Fisher (who has bipolar disorder) to Fountain House (where the Clubhouse movement began) that members can watch for inspiration and have discussions.
